The MCDC conducts voter registration and education campaigns, promotes political unity and political education, encourages the development of strong county, municipal  government, and endorses candidates, promotes good government that protects the welfare of all Alabamians generally and Black Alabamians in particular. MCDC advocates and advances the cause of the Democratic party.
